Elizabeth Kolawa, CEO, leads the overall direction and operations of the company. Her in-depth knowledge and experience managing large, diverse technical organizations has proven invaluable as Parasoft continues to evolve its industry-leading software quality solutions. Dr. Kolawa brings over 25 years of experience managing major technical research programs for NASA and JPL—including the development of system-on-a-chip avionics, thermal cycling resistant electronics for the Mars rover embedded mobility system, advanced measurements and detection for planetary and astrophysics applications, as well as the space avionics and extreme environments technologies programs. Dr. Kolawa came to the United States in 1984, after receiving her Ph.D. in Solid State Physics from Jagiellonian University in Cracow, Poland. She has authored over 140 technical papers and has been granted 11 patents. In addition, she has organized and chaired numerous workshops and sessions at major conferences throughout the world. In 2010, she was awarded the JPL Explorer Award for strategic leadership. She has been an active member of the Parasoft Board of Directors since the company’s inception in 1987.
Chief Marketing Officer
Marc Brown, Chief Marketing Officer, has over 25 years of technology leadership experience and extensive knowledge of software development and testing technologies. His expertise and experience covers a broad spectrum of areas, including corporate brand management, product marketing and portfolio management, product management, and digitally-driven customer engagement, experience, and demand creation. He has a proven track record of driving company growth and brand awareness while working closely with customers, partners, analysts, and the media.
Marc comes to Parasoft from GrammaTech, where he was CMO and VP of Sales. Previously, he led product management, portfolio operations, and product, solutions, and corporate marketing teams at Polycom, Wind River, and IBM Rational after beginning his career as an embedded systems software engineer with Motorola, Corning Research, and GE Aerospace. Marc earned his BS in Computer Science and Mathematics from SUNY Geneseo, and has been a speaker at numerous corporate and industry events.
VP of Product Management and Support
Mark Lambert, Vice President of Product Management and Support, is responsible for ensuring that Parasoft solutions deliver real value to the organizations adopting them. His team helps customers optimize their software development processes by assessing their specific development needs, then determining how to apply Parasoft technologies, processes, and methodologies to achieve their goals.
Lambert has been with Parasoft since 2004, working with a broad cross-section of our Global 2000 customers. His engagements have extended from specific technology implementations to broader SDLC process improvement initiatives. Lambert has also been instrumental in designing solutions for numerous industry verticals, including safety critical, medical device, and complex component-based architectures.
Prior to joining Parasoft, Lambert supported cross industry implementations for Advanced Visual Systems, where he successfully applied his broad technical knowledge and understanding of business challenges to solve organizations complex problems. Lambert earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in Computer Science at Manchester University UK, and has been a speaker at numerous corporate and industry events such as JavaOne, Software Test & Performance, and StarEast.
VP of Development
Igor Kirilenko, VP of Development, is responsible for technical strategy, architecture and development of Parasoft products. Igor Kirilenko joined Parasoft at the beginning of 2013 and brings over 20 years of experience in leading engineering teams, with a specialization in establishing and promoting the best agile practices in software development environments. Igor Kirilenko oversees the rapid growth of multiple cutting-edge technologies and products delivered by Parasoft, including Service Virtualization, API testing, and Development Testing.
Igor also supervises QA processes and testing practices integrated into development teams, delivering frequent releases to customers without compromising their quality. Igor’s overall technical experience includes knowledge of Java, Microsoft, cloud-based and web technologies, and development of complex enterprise level applications with collaboration of multiple local and remote teams.
VP of Customer Success
Larry Johnsen is responsible for ensuring that Parasoft’s Continuous Testing and Development Testing solutions deliver real value to the enterprises adopting them. His team’s mission is to help customers achieve their goals for delivering software at an accelerated pace, higher quality, and reduced cost. Johnsen brings 30+ years in the software development and testing industry, including extensive experience as a lead software developer and software project manager. His business focus and commitment to ensuring customer success eventually led him to the technology sales and delivery side of the industry. Johnsen’s strength at nurturing relationships and truly understanding customer needs have been key to his success working with countless Global 2000 companies during his tenure at Rational Software, CA Technologies, and Parasoft.
Arthur Hicken, Evangelist has been involved in automating various practices at Parasoft for over 20 years. He has worked on various projects involving the software development lifecycle, software security, complex web applications, and integration with legacy systems. Arthur has helped IT departments in Cisco, Vanguard, Motorola, and other major companies improve their software development practices. Arthur taught at the College of DuPage in Illinois, as well as developed and conducted numerous technical training courses at Parasoft. As an expert in his field, Arthur’s insights regarding website quality issues have appeared in Business 2.0, Internet Week, and CNET news.com.
VP of Sales, Americas
Bill Foster, VP of Americas Sales, is a highly-accomplished sales and marketing executive with over 30 years of software technology sales experience. In this role, he leads field and inside sales across the Americas region. His team helps Parasoft customers produce top-quality software consistently and efficiently as they pursue agile, lean, DevOps, compliance, and safety-critical development initiatives.
Foster brings a proven track record of driving license revenue, recruiting and building collaborative enterprise software sales teams (including sales engineers and inside sales), meeting customer needs with creative deal structures, growing pipeline, building new territories, and managing through periods of change.
Before joining Parasoft, Foster worked at Dell / Quest Software, where he led a global direct and indirect sales team responsible for a $70M portfolio of software solutions. Here, Foster helped build a multi-tiered enterprise sales team that shifted the focus from individual tools sales to enterprise solution sales. Foster has also managed regional and global sales teams at both large public and early stage companies (e.g., SAP, Cognos, and Commerce One)—where he was instrumental in scaling sales organizations and driving revenue growth to meet the companies’ corporate objectives.
VP of APAC | GM of Parasoft Shanghai
Marek Pilch, VP of the Asia-Pacific Region and General Manager of Parasoft Shanghai provides strategic management and operational oversight of the company’s APAC region. Additionally, Pilch has been managing Parasoft’s Chinese branch in Shanghai since 2012. Pilch specializes in growing partnerships, streamlining operations, raising market visibility, and increasing profitability.
After studying Civil Engineering at AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow Poland, Pilch joined Parasoft in 1989 as owner and CEO of Parasoft Poland. Upon moving to Parasoft US in 2002, Pilch was responsible for directing special projects, including business development, account retention, and global customer care. Pilch has over 25 years of hands-on experience in strategic planning, business unit development, project and product management, and system engineering strategies.
VP of Sales, EMEA
Dirk Giesen leads the field teams, inside sales teams, and distributors across the EMEA region. Dirk’s teams target long-term, mutual beneficial relationships with the Parasoft customers and help them produce top-quality software consistently and efficiently as they pursue agile, DevOps, compliance, and safety-critical development initiatives. Dirk’s extensive experience helping customers achieve success in high-tech, embedded, and business IT markets includes roles with Telelogic (acquired by IBM in 2006), Benelux and German distributor QA-Systems, and Benelux distributor Koning en Hartman. Dirk joined Parasoft in 2006 and earned a BA degree in Computer Science in 1986.
