Technical Support Engineer - Medina OH, USA
As a Technical Support Engineer, you’ll be the first point of contact for users, handling Level 1 inquiries, diagnosing issues, and resolving technical challenges with clarity and care. Your work ensures smooth customer experience and reflects our commitment to excellence.
Key areas of responsibility
- Capture support requests from customers and the Parasoft team.
- Provide first level of support and technical issue resolution for customers
- Work with the team to identify, reproduce and resolve specific issues
Desired Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience as an embedded firmware developer is strongly preferred.
- Responsible, self-motivated, and able to work independently as well as within a collaborative team environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with demonstrated problem-solving ability.
- Proactive ownership mindset—able to follow tasks through to resolution with professionalism and persistence.
- Basic proficiency in C/C++ programming.
- Practical knowledge of operating systems and basic administration (Windows and Linux, UI and command line, shell scripts).
- Experience with build systems (CMake, Make, Bazel) and CI/CD systems is a plus.
- Familiarity with technologies such as static analysis and unit testing (both proprietary and open source) is a plus.
- Experience using Python scripting to parse YAML, JSON, or XML files is a plus.
- Experience with Parasoft tools or similar automated testing platforms is a plus.
- Prior experience in a technical support or customer-facing engineering role is a plus.
- Experience with cross-compiler toolchains and debugging embedded applications on target is a strong plus.
- Comfort using AI-powered tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) to accelerate troubleshooting, documentation, or code analysis is a strong plus.
