Parasoft Sets New Bar for C/C++ Test Automation With Certified GoogleTest and Agentic AI at embedded world 2026

MONROVIA, Calif. – 9 March 2026Parasoft, a global leader in automated software testing solutions, will exhibit new capabilities that redefine software test automation for C and C++ development at embedded world, Hall 4, Stand 318.

Parasoft will showcase C/C++test and C/C++test CT, with the latter featuring the industry’s first TÜV-certified GoogleTest framework for functional safety, removing long-standing barriers to using open-source unit testing in regulated environments. Both tools are enhanced with agentic AI workflows enabled by Parasoft’s new MCP server.

Together, these innovations shift test automation from tool-centric approaches to autonomous-driven assurance, where compliance, coverage, and quality are continuously enforced across the software lifecycle.

Certified GoogleTest, Without the Certification Burden

Certified open-source GoogleTest meets AI-powered assurance

GoogleTest is the de facto standard for C++ unit testing, but in regulated industries its adoption has long come with a cost: months of tool qualification effort. Parasoft removes that barrier.

Integrated into Parasoft C/C++test CT, the industry’s first TÜV-certified GoogleTest framework is approved for safety-critical development, supporting standards including ISO 26262, IEC 61508, IEC 62304, and EN 50716. Teams continue using a familiar, open-source framework, but now with built-in compliance evidence, traceability, and audit readiness.

No custom qualification. No need to export from GoogleTest to other unit testing tools. Just faster certification and lower risk.

Agentic AI, Purpose-Built for Safety-Critical Testing

Parasoft is also introducing agentic AI workflows designed specifically for regulated C and C++ development. At the center of this capability is Parasoft’s new MCP server, which securely connects AI agents to the structured, standards-aware data generated by C/C++test and C/C++test CT.

Rather than acting as black-box assistants, AI agents can reason over test results, coverage metrics, coding standard violations, and compliance artifacts. Repetitive and time-intensive activities, such as test generation, MISRA and CERT compliance analysis, coverage assessment, and documentation creation, can be automated, while engineers retain full visibility and control.

Based on customer field feedback from generative AI–assisted testing workflows, organizations have reported:

  • Up to 43% reduction in test cycle time
  • 38% decrease in manual testing effort
  • Up to 72% reduction in defect-fixing costs

Extending Validation Beyond Embedded Code

To support system-level and integration testing, Parasoft has also strengthened SOAtest and Virtualize to enable scalable service-level and API testing. These capabilities enable teams to validate service-based architectures, APIs, and integrations earlier and more consistently, even when dependent systems or hardware are unavailable.

Used alongside C/C++test and C/C++test CT, they help organizations maintain continuous verification across embedded, distributed, and service-oriented systems within CI/CD pipelines.
